Pain Time With Farmers Holds and An Important Lesson

When you’re confronted with an obstacle in life, what do you do?

Do you accept the outcome without interfering?

Or do you confront it head on and take charge?

CHECK OUT THE REST OF THIS KILLER POST AFTER THE JUMP

Life is about small obstacles everyday that must be overcome. Some accept the outcome of these obstacles without a fight. Because it is the easy thing to do.

Well, I’m here to tell you that life itself is not easy. In fact, it is hard as hell. Many people move into their comfort zone and NEVER leave it. They get complacent.

Do you want to be that type of person?

I stress to all of my athletes that they have a choice. A choice to work as hard as they can and get up when they are knocked down or a choice to be run over. It is that simple. When you see that glimmer in their eye that says they want to be the one who’s doing the running over, than it is your job to nurture that glimmer.

Do you have a glimmer?

Did you have that glimmer a long time ago and lost it? Do you want it back?

I’m about to show you a video of choices. It shows Brad performing a farmers walk hold. The background story is that Brad “thought” he heard Eli say that he couldn’t lift the weight and hold it. When in fact Eli, was talking to someone else at the time.

But Brad believed Eli was talking to him. He would not be denied. He would not relent. This is something I hope that all of you will strive for.

This week, do something you haven’t done in a long time, or something you were too scared to try. Do it to feel alive and to get that glimmer back. Because once you feel that again, you’ll never want to let it go.

Nothin’ like a little pain! Great job! Love the stare. He didn’t get that strong giving up at the least bit of discomfort. Gotta get comfortable with being uncomfortable if we want to get stronger. Way to walk the talk!
