Grip Feat Held Hostage – Half 115 Block Weight

Evil Jedd Johnson

Last week, the evil Jedd Johnson was holding this feat hostage for a sum of 20 comments. Check out the original post here ===>  Block Weight Training.

It is great to see the Diesel universe come together for a good cause and pay the ransom so that the world could see this block weight being lifted.

As you can see, this block weight is of tremendous size with a 7-inch total slope and angles nearly two inches long. For years, this thing remained unliftable; an impossible feat of strength.

I’ve broken it off the ground a few times in the past, getting it about 6 inches off the ground after the Grip Strength Nationals in 2008. But was never able to lift it until now… Check out the video below.

Hey, this past weekend, I held the Lift at Jedd’s National Qualifier Grip Competition, and three more athletes qualified for the National competition to be held on September 19th – Bobby Goodfellow, Mike Rinderle, and Frank Snyder. These young dawgs have some strong mitts and are improving all the time! Look for video clips here on the site, soon.

Also, look for a huge blog post here later this week when I cover the best material to use for nail, bolt and bar bending. For safety and performance, you have to know what materials to wrap with when bending nails.

I love this stuff guys and I want to help you all have as much fun training Grip as I have. If you have any questions, always feel free to leave a comment.

All the best in your training,

Dude, that was the funniest, most awesome, video of all time for Diesel Crew.

It looked like you summoned the strength of the entire GS community when you waved your hands and looked into the camera for strength.

    Awesome, indeed.

AWESOME lift Jedd! That thing is just nasty. It felt like it was welded to the floor when I tried it on Sat. Great stuff, bro!

Thanks guys. Shane, when I am focused on lifting something, I don’t even know what I do sometimes. The waving at the camera was one of them.

Rob, Jerry, Andrew, Goody – thanks a ton fellas.

Andrew – see you on the 19th for GGC.
